Our Move in...

On Wednesday, July 9th ,2008 our LONG awaited ocean shipment cleared customs and was delivered to our new home in Aberdeen! This was a very hectic time, as we were going to try to get "as moved in" as we could before leaving for our holiday to Rome! Needless to say, we ate, drank and slept "boxes" and the unpacking and breaking down of them...

Here is the larger of the two containers that were delivered. The boys thought it was way COOL!! If you could understand how narrow the streets are here, you would then get an idea of the talent of these drivers to maneuver these rigs. To give you an idea...this truck took up half the width of the road, so the lanes had to take turns going around it...:)

Our front door...vestibule jammed with already unpacked boxes full of paper and broken down boxes outside the door.

Taken standing right inside the second door into the house. So if I walked forward, the front door(previous picture) would be on my left.

I am standing on the first landing looking down into the foyer, toward the front door. The house was just a jumble of boxes and furniture. We had quite the task ahead to get this looking like a "home" before we headed to Rome!!!

This will be the "game room". From previous picture looking down the stairs, this is the door you can see on the right hand side before you head out into the vestibule.

Kitchen ...and the far room is the laundry room. Immediately to your left, just before the cabinet, is a door leading out to the back yard.
We were really blessed to find this house. God's plan is amazing... It is a wonderful house and will be just wonderful for our family. I look forward to all the memories we will make here and take with us through our lives! It really does feel like "home". We are so happy to be here and experience this with our boys! I will take some photos of the house with our stuff in it and post those....they will be a lot less messy! :)
Until next time....God Bless!
